Hillendale Home Care Launches Virtual Blood Drive to Support Community Health During National Blood Donation Month
Walnut Creek, CA — January 2026 — In honor of National Blood Donation Month, Hillendale Home Care is proud to announce the launch of its Virtual Blood Drive, running from January 15 through January 30, 2026. The initiative invites caregivers, staff, families, and community members to come together to help address the ongoing need for life-saving blood donations.
As a home care organization serving seniors and families across the Bay Area, Hillendale Home Care sees firsthand how critical access to blood can be during medical emergencies, surgeries, and ongoing treatments. Through this virtual drive, Hillendale is extending its mission of compassionate care beyond the homes it serves and into the broader community.
“Our work is rooted in supporting people during vulnerable moments,” said Jes Edwards, Hillendale's Director of Staffing and Virtual Blood Drive organizer. “Hosting a virtual blood drive allows us to make a meaningful impact together, while giving participants the flexibility to donate at a location and time that works best for them.”
How the Virtual Blood Drive Works
Participants can take part by visiting the Hillendale Home Care Virtual Blood Drive page (below) and clicking Donate. After entering their ZIP code, donors can find a nearby blood donation center or drive and schedule an appointment during the campaign dates. All donations made during this time will count toward Hillendale’s goal.
A Goal with Life-Saving Impact
Hillendale Home Care’s initial goal is five donors, which can help save up to 15 lives. Community members are encouraged to help exceed that goal by sharing the drive with friends, family, and colleagues.
